Aerospace

Aerospace application: laser inspection of critical aircraft engine partsLTC is actively extending its laser-based measurement and inspection technology into the aerospace industry, where failures in safety-critical components cannot be tolerated.  Our automated laser inspection systems are used by NASA and the US Air Force to inspect thrusters for the Space Shuttle and to conduct research and development on Hall-effect thrusters.

In addition, our patented LSPI™ technology can provide rapid and automated laser inspection for cracks in small diameter holes, such as those found in high-energy rotating engine parts.  Automation of the inspection process can improve inspection accuracy and reliability, while providing digital records of the integrity of these components.
